the british management have been over here for a couple of days to kick the local tyres and prod the sales guys into action for some end of fiscal year deal making.

there’s been all sorts of talk about the way the english office can put the lager away and the last two days have shown that to be the absolute truth.

monday night was a late night boys night of beer after beer after beer followed by another amazing round of oysters and steak (i moved considerably down from 22 ounces this time) at bennets. so much food and so much booze for a school night … and a monday night no less. and the bill! must have topped a thousands dollars … rather pleased a corporate card was produced.

thankfully, the jetlag really started to kick in for the brits by tuesday night, but never the less, there we were, 5:25, at the bar. this time at the crab shell for a quiet few – more than a few for the poms actually. they’re unbelievable, completely put aussies to shame. you look away for three minutes and they’ve necked their beer and are gesturing to the waitress for the next. meanwhile, the monday night antics are still keeping the rest of us in check.
