once you scratch below the surface, ie the big name crap such as bud, coors, miller etc, american beer is very good. there’s an amazing variety of smaller boutique breweries that have really good, flavourful beer around.
and, it’s damn cheap, have not paid more then 9 dollars for a 6-pack yet.
at the moment, vermont is leading the field. really really good pale ales. another feather in their cheddar and maple syrup cap.
i’m currently drinking saranac pale ale and kim’s drinking magic hat india pale ale.
Sorry dude, I forgot you even had a blog. Thought it had been a while since an update!! Mmmm… boutique beer. Love it. Keep an eye out for ‘Arrogant Bastard Ale’ – I had it once in LA.
Next time you go to the bottle-o ask for “speed hennessy cognac”. long story short, i was tricked into a few sips. I soon felt like i was very rich and also very awake..
